Julia and Liam Nature Invitations

Happy Monday everyone!!! I hope you all had a nice weekend.
I'm stocked and really excited because yesterday I arrived to Buenos Aires to visit my family and friends whom I haven't seen in more than a year. I'll be staying here for 3 (hopefully long and fun) weeks and doing lots of memorable things -Christmas with all the family and one of my best friend's wedding-.
Soon I'll be posting some pictures of this amazing and vibrant city but in the meantime...

After designing their Save the Date, Julia and Liam asked me to design the formal wedding invitation.

At the beginning their idea was to send out a digital version to their friends and just a few printed copies for their family, but once they saw how beautiful the printed invitations were, they decided to send out printed ones for everyone.

Continuing with the STD theme, I used an earthy colour pallete and the willow tree to represent life, family, strong roots and growth. The invite was printed in 100% recycled paper and we included a little quote that reads, “we love nature and want to see trees grow, therefore this invite was made of 100% recycled paper”.

The invitation folds in three and the cover is the beautiful willow tree cut-out. The last part of the invite where the directions and map to the venue are, has marked cutting lines so the guest can cut out this part and take it with to the wedding.

Nadia and Alastair's Wheel Invitations

If you met this couple, you would agree with me that they are the sweetest and most perfectly matched couple…
Just looking at them and seeing how in love they are, can bring you a smile that will last for an entire day…
There are planning a romantic and fun wedding under the trees of Stellenbosch forest for next year February.

For their invite they wanted something casual, fun, romantic and different…
Therefore we made them these circular or spinning wheel invites. As their guests turn the front wheel, the cut out reveals the details of the wedding. A little circular card was also included with the venue directions and map that the guests can take with on the wedding day.

The stamped envelope with the couple’s monogram finishes off this beautiful invitation that will definitely surprise Nadia and Alastair’s guests (WOW factor guaranteed)..

Kat and Johns Sweet Garden Invitations

Kat and John are planning a garden wedding in Wellington…
They wanted their invite to reflect what the wedding is going to be about therefore the colours we used were earthy creams and yellows combined with bright foliage green. The brown craft paper gives it a rustic and organic look  and the suite was packaged together in a delicate ribbon belly band.

Movember

Movember... ahhh Movember

... the month when men grow their moustaches to create awareness for cancers
that affect men, specifically prostate cancer.
But cancer affects us all…
So why can’t we women do something about it too?
Yes, is true: we can’t grow moustaches (well, we can’t grow full moustaches) but now with Mocho Loco’s “Moustache to go necklace” we can have both:
a beautiful necklace and a fine moustache…
Creating awareness without necessarily looking like Frida Khalo,
is not all Mocho Loco will do…
We will donate all sales profit to the
Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA)

How it works?... Very simple:
1.  Buy your “Moustache to go necklace”
-you are not only buying a piece of fine jewellery
but also making a donation towards the
     Cancer Association of South Africa
2. Wear it as a necklace or wear it as a moustache
3. Tell your male friends to grow a moustache
4. Tell your girl friends to get a “Moustache to go necklace”
and raise awareness and funds against cancer

It's Friday, yeay... and what better way to finish it than looking at beautiful dresses?
Many of my friends who are getting married soon are looking for the perfect dress for their wedding so I'm helping them trying to do my best (well, it's not really difficult as I loooove dresses).

My favourite designer by far is Jenny Packham so if you’re looking for a vintage-inspired gown, you should really check out her entire collection! It’s exquisite

Laura and Jose's Lace and Hearty Invites

Laura and Jose are getting married in January next year.
She is South African and he is Spanish and they are living together in Mallorca.
They are planning a beautiful wedding at Buitenverwachting Wine Estate in Constantia, Cape Town and the theme they chose is Vintage Chic, therefore they wanted a combination of textures, vintage details and hearts.
For their wedding invite I used a palette of silvery grey, coffee pink and champagne combined with different paper textures, thicknesses and die cut details. The card has 4 different layers and the front cover has silver and pink lace details with a hand stitched thin ribbon and a laser cut heart shape that hangs. The silver envelope with pink details and the names of the guests printed onto it, finishes this beautiful vintage looking wedding invite.
